When you enter the hallway you will be straight across from the sitting room. There are two sofas covered in coral fabric, two comfy chairs, a desk, chair, bookcase, TV and DVD player, a music system, and a decorative tiled Victorian fireplace. This sunny, corner room has two large windows that face the park, and two sets of French doors that open onto a narrow balcony, also facing the park. The neighborhood greenery can be seen from every spot in the room. It's a lovely view.
The dining room, also overlooking the park, is furnished with family pieces. The mahogany table seats 8 comfortably, and the sideboard is useful for serving. Large windows look over to the park's trees.
The bedrooms are down the long hallway. The spacious master bedroom, on the right, has a queen bed with a delicately-flowered spread, an antique chest of drawers, a wall of closets, a decorative fireplace, and two large windows that face the park. Colors are soft and gentle. This lovely room is sunny, warm, and bright.
Across the hall from the master bedroom there is a white-tiled bathroom with a long, deep tub, and a hand-held shower. The window lets in the morning sunshine.
The next bedroom has a single bed with a tulip comforter, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, and a tall window that faces the park. Walls are soft pink.
Across the hall, the guest powder room has a toilet, basin, pretty wallpaper, and a window.
The third bedroom has a standard double bed with a blue, white, and yellow spread, a wardrobe, and one tall window that faces the park.
The large, user friendly kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, new electric stove, dishwasher, stainless steel sink, and a table that seats four. Out on the tiny balcony there is a cupboard that houses the washer and dryer.
The large bathroom is off the kitchen. It has a roomy shower stall, a large cabinet, and two windows that let in lots of light.
The fourth bedroom, past the bathroom off the kitchen, has a single pine bed, with a dark and light blue cover, a bookcase that holds many interesting books, a TV, a pine wardrobe, and chest of drawers. Windows face the park.
The flat's green and peaceful views extend across Bishop's Park toward the River Thames, and to the Bishop of London's palace and its lovely gardens. A children's playground is directly opposite the apartment building.
Fulham's many fashionable restaurants, and shops, are within easy walking distance of the flat. Wimbledon is on a direct line from the Putney Bridge tube. Access to central London is easy by tube or bus. It takes about 1/2 hour into central London by local bus (many stops, but it's a nice ride on a red double-decker). It's a 15-minute tube ride into central London. We've gone by tube and bus and they are easy and pleasant trips.
Heating and electricity are included in the rental price. Phone calls are charged at cost by meter reading. A security deposit of £500 is held by credit card until after the holiday.
